As It Was So Shall It Be

“There is no sorrow still upon the earth. The joy of Heaven has come upon it.”   –A Course In Miracles

Let your imagination take you on an imaginary journey for a moment. In this journey see yourself looking at this Earth from somewhere off in space and seeing it as it was before humans inhabited it. What does it look like? Can you not see the indescribable beauty of a creation of God? Can you not see the uniqueness of this beautiful planet? Can you not feel the Love and peace that are integral attributes of God’s Creation emanating from it? Open your heart and let it show you the exquisite uniqueness, indescribable beauty, peace and love of God’s Creation and hold onto It as long as you can.

And now, still using your imagination, allow yourself to jump ahead in time to the present and move in closer and take a good, hard look at it after man has had his way with it for millennia. Again, what does it look like? Does it still have all the wonderful attributes mentioned above?

“This is an insane world, and do not underestimate the actual extent of its insanity.”  –A Course In Miracles

The answer to the above question has to be, yes, the Earth still has all those wonderful attributes. It is still exquisitely unique in all the known Universe. It is still indescribably beautiful, and it still exudes vibrations of love and peace. But we need to clarify that this describes the Earth, the planet, and not the world. For, as Jesus says, this is an insane world. There is an immeasurable difference between the Earth and the world. The Earth is a Creation of God; a unique, beautiful and glorious Creation. The world is the work of man as he has made it in his insane belief that he is separate from God. And from this insane belief has come an insane world. A world built on the insane foundation of fear. A world of sickness, suffering, pain, loneliness, war, hunger, poverty and all other negative conditions including the most insane and feared one of all, death.

“Thoughts can represent lower-order or higher-order reality… One makes the physical and the other creates the spiritual.”  –A Course In Miracles

As you look at this planet from your imaginary position in space, you’ll be able to separate the lower-order from the higher-order reality. In the illusionary lower-order you’ll see big business, huge pharmaceutical companies, drugs, the ugly, the poor, the homeless, wars, sickness, crime, corruption, prisons, funeral processions, torture chambers, abused and tortured animals and every other negative and fearful thing imaginable. This is the so-called world that those who believe they control the planet have led humanity to make.

But there is another world to see, and The Course provides an avenue to look beyond this insanity and see it; it says: “Sit quietly and look upon the world you see, and tell yourself, the real world is not like this. It has no buildings, and there are no streets where people walk alone and separate. There are no stores where people buy an endless list of things they do not need. It is not lit with artificial light, and night comes not upon it. There is no day that brightens and grows dim. There is no loss. Nothing is there but shines and shines forever.”

The world mentioned here is the one love is calling humanity to return to and is the effect of thinking and creating from a higher-order system of thought, a thought-system based in love.

“There is nothing outside you. That is what you must ultimately learn, for it is in that realization that the Kingdom of Heaven is restored to you.”  –A Course In Miracles

Because humans see themselves as physical bodies, the most difficult thing for them to grasp is the truth that there is nothing that exists outside of them. The perception of being in a body makes it seem that everything is outside. But it’s all illusions, for everything, including the two worlds mentioned above, is in the mind. And that is where resurrection from a lower-order existence, which is hell, to a higher-order existence, which is Heaven, must take place. It cannot happen anywhere else except in the mind.

The part of your mind that made the world of fear, the world of hell that you see, is that part of your mind that you split off and made into the home of the ego. When your resurrection to awareness of your reality happens, as Jesus says: The part of your thought which you have given to the ego will merely return to the Kingdom, where your whole mind belongs.

Resurrection does not depend on the illusion humans refer to as death. As The Course says, Your resurrection is your reawakening. And to reinforce this statement it also points out that the world is not left by death but by truth, and truth can be known by all those for whom the Kingdom was created and for whom it waits.

How ludicrous is it to believe you need to die, which is impossible, in order to be what you are and to be where you are? Again, as Jesus tells us in The Course: You dwell not here, but in eternity. You travel but in dreams while safe at home. In other words, your resurrection is simply becoming aware of your own reality and of your real Home. You are a Spiritual Being and as such you can never be in a physical dimension except in illusions. Your Home is in the real world mentioned above and that’s where you are; in the very Heart of God.

“In your heart, the Heart of God is laid. He holds you dear because you are Himself.” –A Course In Miracles

Can you, in your imagination, realize and grasp the magnificence and glory of the above quote? In this world your imagination is the only attribute that’s capable of grasping it. It cannot be grasped nor even considered with the intellect. That’s why, at the beginning of this post, I suggested letting your imagination take you on an imaginary journey. But, in truth, it’s not as “Imaginary” as it may seem.

The Heart of God is laid in your heart and you encompass It as It encompassess you, which means you encompass the entire Universe. There is nothing else anywhere, any place or any time. You are It and It is You. When you become aware of this Truth you’ll understand the meaning of my opening quote: “There is no sorrow still upon the earth. The joy of Heaven has come upon it.”

I’m going to close this post with another quote from A Course In Miracles: “Nothing beyond yourself can make you fearful or loving, because nothing is beyond you. Time and eternity are both in your mind and will conflict until you perceive time solely as a means to regain eternity. You cannot do this as long as you believe that anything which happens to you is caused by factors outside yourself.”

Thank you for visiting this site. I am truly grateful. May You be blessed with revelation that nothing exists outside of you.
