All Course In Miracles quotes in these posts are taken from the “Original Edition,” published by the Course in Miracles Society of Omaha, Nebraska. I’m pointing this out because there’s more than one version of The Course out there.

“All therapy is release from the past. That is why the Holy Spirit is the only therapist.” …Jesus, A Course In Miracles.
Almost every time I sit here and ponder writing another post for this blog I ask myself; who are you writing to? My answer is always the same. I’m writing first and foremost to myself. And there’s a very good reason why I write to myself. Jesus sets it out very plainly in The Course. He says; “You cannot learn except by teaching.” Therefore, the whole reason I write these posts is, I have an overwhelming desire to learn. And I find that as I write, answers come to me that I would otherwise never think of.
I mean that literally because I can ponder the idea of writing a post, open the computer to a blank page and stare at it for a long time but my mind remains as blank as the page. There’s nothing until I begin to write. Then, it seems, the answers or ideas that I’m looking for seem to show up as if they have always been there waiting for an invitation. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not talking about answers or ideas that might satisfy you. I’m talking about those that make sense and satisfy the person I’m writing to; myself.
“The Holy Spirit is nothing more than your own right mind.” …Jesus, A Course In Miracles
Humans have taken that which is very natural and changed it into something complicated and mysterious. There is a small part of your Holy Mind that believes it has separated itself from its Creator. This tiny part of your mind has convinced you that you are a physical being. Because you have accepted this ludicrous idea, you see yourself as separate and alone and therefore, are filled with fear. You’re afraid of just about everything in the universe but most of all you’re afraid of Love. As a physical being you perceive everything that’s other than physical as mysterious and frightening. You also perceive most of what you believe is physical in the same way. This tiny part of your mind exists in fear and sees everything through the same fear-filled eyes.
When God created you He created you as part of Him and that’s what you are. You are a Holy Spirit Being within the Universal Mind of creation. You will never be anything other than that; for how could you be anything other than what you are? The Holy Spirit, or your own right mind, is the only Power in all the universe that can release you from all this fear and dread you have made for yourself.
“For healing cannot be accomplished in the past and must be accomplished in the present to release the future.” …Jesus, A Course In Miracles
Because you believe you have separated from your Creator you think you’re guilty of abandoning Him which places you in a state of extreme guilt. And it’s this state of guilt that causes a false perception of living in the past. That’s why this world is an illusion. The small part of your mind that you think is you is continually dwelling in the past while it looks forward with anticipation to a better future, both of which do not exist. It’s the Holy Spirit’s Mission to release you from both and bring you into the present; the eternal now.
You are part of God and God has no past or future. God just is! Time has no meaning to God. Neither does healing have any meaning to God. For sickness is of the ego mind which God knows absolutely nothing about. Sickness is as foreign to God as darkness is to the sun. The sun pays no attention to darkness; it just shines and the darkness dissipates.
Most humans see God as some sort of Supernatural Grandfather Figure that dwells way off in the sky somewhere. They pray to this god and ask for a miracle of healing and then they usually wait for the healing to take place in the future sometime. But there’s only one aspect of that which we think of as time that means anything. Neither the past, where Jesus says, healing cannot be accomplished, nor the future, which he says, must be released, exist. The only aspect of time that means anything is the present, or the Eternal Now, and it’s here that Jesus says, healing must be accomplished. All the rest, including the past and the future, is an illusion.
“…The miracle abolishes time. It does this by a process of collapsing it and thus abolishing certain intervals within it.” …Jesus, A Course In Miracles
In The Course Jesus lets us in on some knowledge which we’re unaware of normally. He says, “There is no statement that the world is more afraid to hear than this: I do not know the thing I am and therefore do not know what I am doing, where I am, or how to look upon the world or on myself.”
The world you see is a world built on fear by the ego. And the ego is adamant in its teaching. It teaches that you are a flesh body living in a physical environment completely separate from God and everything else in the universe. According to the ego and all its well-intentioned teachers such as parents, schoolteachers and others with influence over your learning that’s what you are and nothing more. Therefore, as far as the world is concerned, you know exactly what you are, what you’re doing, where you are and how to look upon the world and yourself.
If you should ever begin to doubt the world’s version and start to wonder and ask questions like, what am I; what am I doing; where am I and what is life all about? It’s more than likely you would ask them quietly and to yourself for you wouldn’t want the hassle of explaining your curiosity to the aforementioned teachers and others of the world. But if and when you reach this stage of wonderment you’re standing on holy ground at the Miracle’s door.
“Yet in this learning is salvation born. And what you are will tell you of Itself.” …Jesus, A Course In Miracles
The ancient Greek philosopher Socrates once said, “I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.” The “learning” that Jesus is referring to in the above quote is pretty well in agreement with Socrates’ revelation. For Jesus is referring to the glorious state of learning where you don’t know what you are and therefore don’t know what you’re doing, where you are, or how to look upon the world or on yourself.”
It’s a conscious choice you must make to remember that in this physical world of illusions you know nothing. And once you make this choice you are, as I mentioned earlier, standing on holy ground at the Miracle’s door. As Jesus tells us in The Course: “Those who remember always that they know nothing, but who have become willing to learn everything, will learn it.” And how will you learn it? What you are will tell you of Itself.
Love will open the door to the universe of learning and tell you of Itself. You’ll understand that the only healing you ever needed or ever will need is to know that you are not now, never were nor ever will be, separate from your Creator. In this understanding time is abolished because it’s an ego construct and the only time Love knows is the Eternal Now. You are part of God and there is no past and there is no future to part of God.
I’m going to close this post with a quote from A Course In Miracles: “Salvation does not ask that you behold the Spirit and perceive the body not. It merely asks that this should be your choice. For you can see the body without help but do not understand how to behold a world apart from it. It is your world salvation will undo and let you see another world your eyes could never find.”
