It’s time humans gave up the “poor me” mentality and began to realize what they really are. It’s time to change the thoughts that follow the words, I am. Let The Course tell you what you are. You are the most powerful entity in all the universe. You are the most powerful being ever created; that’s what you are. But yet most of us wander through life fearful and alone wondering what bad thing will happen next. 

These posts are absolutely useless to you unless you are a believer in The Course In Miracles. If you’re unable to accept The Course as being legitimate and true then you’re wasting your time reading this. The Course tells you that God’s Will for you is perfect happiness. If God wills it; is there any power in all creation that can prevent it from happening? Yes there is, and that power is your own belief system. Your belief in negativity is so powerful you have convinced yourself that you have negated the Will of God.

This so-called life we all believe we’re in is the most complicated and difficult happening in all the universe. You cannot even imagine how much energy and power it has taken to negate God’s Will and make an experience such as this. Just think about that for a few moments. You were created as an idea in God’s Mind and it’s impossible for ideas to leave the mind of the thinker. Therefore, you are still in God’s Mind even though you have convinced yourself that you’re separate from Him and everything else in the universe. Can you even begin to understand how much energy and power such an undertaking required? And can you even imagine how much energy and power is required to maintain a life separated from the Source of Life?

“My will cannot overcome yours, because yours is as powerful as mine.”   …Jesus (ACIM) 

Wow! Can you accept the idea that your will is as powerful as Jesus’ is? What is your will; what is the Will of God? Is your will not the expression of that which you would like to see happen? My opening quote informs you that you are the Will of God. Is God’s will any different than yours? Is it not His Will that you be happy; and do you not have a similar will? God’s Will for you is not just that you be happy but that you be perfectly happy. This is His Will for you and His Will is your will. If you accept what The Course teaches then you must accept that God’s Will and your will are the same Will.

Can you be perfectly happy in sickness; can you be perfectly happy in misery? It seems that in this world that’s the condition most people find themselves in. It requires a tremendous amount of effort and energy to defy God’s Will and place yourself in sickness and misery. These conditions are contrary to the Will of God. Therefore, they’re not normal no matter how much the world tries to convince you that they are. They’re not normal because they’re not real. They’re illusions for only in illusions could you defy the Will of God. Nothing in the universe can negate God’s Will. Sickness and misery seem to be real only in your own thoughts.

“It is your thoughts alone that cause you pain. Nothing external to your mind can hurt or injure you in any way.”   …Jesus (ACIM) 

It requires a deep understanding of the teachings of The Course before you can accept the above information. The reason for that is, without that understanding you’ll always believe yourself to be nothing more than a physical body. And it seems ludicrous to suggest that a body can’t be hurt or injured by something other than your thoughts. In The Course even Jesus explains that as the world judges these things, but not as God knows them, he was betrayed, abandoned, beaten, torn, and finally killed. 

In other words, your acceptance of this information depends on whether you have chosen to see the flesh or recognize the Spirit. It matters not what you really are if you have chosen to see the flesh. Jesus explains why this is so with these words: If you choose flesh, you never will escape the body as your own reality, for you have chosen that you want it so. And as long as you believe you’re a body you will not be able to accept the idea that it’s your thoughts alone that cause you pain. For you will never understand the power of your thoughts.

“The mind is a very powerful creator, and it never loses its creative force. It never sleeps. Every instant it is creating and always as you will.”   …ACIM

The mind is a very powerful creator and it can miscreate as well as create. If you can accept the idea that your will and God’s Will are the same then the mind will create attributes that are eternal. For Love will then be it’s Source of creation. And all creations that are sourced from Love cannot be anything other than joyful and therefore eternal. For Joy is an attribute of Love and Love is the only energy in all of creation that is eternal. Nothing negative or fearful can approach or come near to Love for their frequencies are too low. Only attributes such as true beauty, happiness, abundance and joy can come from Love. 

On the other hand, if you believe in the illusion that you can be separated from God then you have separated yourself from Love, for God and Love are synonymous. The source of all things that are separated from Love is fear. You may believe you’re separate from God but that doesn’t mean you actually are. It simply means that you believe you are. You still have within you the most powerful force in all of creation which is the Power to create. You cannot lose this Power. But when you create while believing yourself to be a separate entity your source of creation is fear whether you recognize it or not. This is when your mind uses its creative Power to miscreate, or make, attributes of fear which include all things negative such as sickness, suffering, misery and death.

“Nothing beyond yourself can make you fearful or loving, because nothing is beyond you”   …ACIM

God’s Will for you is perfect happiness yet you plead and beg Him for miracles that you believe will heal and make you happy. Do you think that God can give you more than that which He has already willed for you? God withholds nothing from you for to do so would be contrary to His own Will. I keep repeating it because it needs repeating: When God created you He made you part of Him. The whole universe is within you, as the above quote says, nothing is beyond you.

If you are fearful then you have decided that you have changed that which God created. You have decided that you are not part of your Creator. For it would be impossible for a part of God to be fearful. It’s because of your decision to be different than your Creator created you that you are fearful. You have allowed unloving thoughts of the ego’s thought system to enter your holy mind. As the above quote says: Nothing beyond yourself can make you fearful.

On the other hand, if you are loving then it’s the same scenario only in reverse. You have decided that no one, including yourself, can change what God created. You have decided that you are and you will always be, a part of your Creator. It’s your decision to accept yourself as God created you that lets you recognize the Love that you are part of. Again, as the quote says: Nothing beyond yourself can make you loving. Whether you find yourself fearful or loving it’s always your own choice.

I’m going to close this post with a quote from A Course In Miracles: “The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from It an instant. It belongs to you. By It you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with It, and everything is one with you because It left you not.”
