If you watch any of the news channels it might be difficult to agree with the above  quote. Everywhere we look it seems as if there’s bad acts being perpetrated by people who seem to hate this group, that group or someone else’s group. It’s quite difficult to accept the idea that hate is actually passing from the world. 

Nevertheless I am one of those optimistic people who believe that there is a change taking place in the human psyche. I believe that the human race is beginning to wake up to the realization that Love is better than hate. And therefore, Love is being accepted into minds everywhere; a one mind at a time change, is taking place. And the greatest part of all is; when one person allows Love to enter his or her mind that mind becomes a beacon of Light that affects thousands of other minds. For Love cannot be contained – It must extend Itself.

But that being said, everything still remains a matter of our own individual perspectives. The great Spiritual teacher, Wayne W. Dyer, once said, “loving people live in a loving world; hostile people live in a hostile world; same world.” 

That’s the way it is. We all live in the world we perceive. That’s because this physical dimension is a place of division and separation. A place where we see ourselves as separated from the Source of life itself. Even though it would be impossible to be separated from the Source of life (God) and still be alive, we insist that it is so. And it’s our insistence that we are divided and separated from one another, and from God, that causes every difficulty and trial we humans have to contend with.

The belief in separation can be healed only by forgiving and Loving ourselves and others. For Love seeks to join with Itself in relationships made holy by its presence. To that point, I believe that there are more and more people realizing there is a better way. They’re tired of all the negativity and misery the idea of separation provides and are ready to forgive and love themselves and others. And when Love and forgiveness enter a person’s mind, it not only becomes a beacon of Light, but its perception changes. As Dr. Dyer said, they now live in a loving world – a world which hate and fear have left.

When I talk about love in these posts I’m not referring to the romantic, changing emotion we call love in this world. That which the world calls love can change in a very short period of time. Quite often it turns into dislike, and sometimes even hate, and on top of that it produces fear. True Love cannot do either one of those things. It will never turn into dislike or hate, and fear cannot remain in It’s presence – for It is synonymous with God.

It matters not what we believe about a subject we cannot change the facts. In this world everything is based on perception, and as we perceive we believe. But perception can change only that which we see in our own separate worlds. God is Love, and Love is God, and our beliefs cannot change that fact. But if we’re so inclined we can decide to change our perceptions. Again I refer to Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, who once said, “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.”

Love is all there is – there is nothing else

The one and only description that anyone in this world of separation can give for God is the two words; God Is. And it’s the same with Love. The one and only description for Love is; Love Is. There’s no more that can be said when trying to describe either one.

Oh I realize and understand that many people say more than this. But whatever they say that reaches beyond these two words is no more than the ego’s opinion, and will make no sense. For Love (God) cannot be described – It (He) can only be experienced.

I understand how real this physical world and everything in it seems to be to those who believe they’re separated from God, but in reality it’s all illusions. What else could it be if everything God created remains exactly as He created it? God creates only the eternal. He does not create anything that’s temporary or has the ability to change.

God is Love, and He created everything, including the universe, from Love, by Love and for Love – nothing else exists, except in illusions. If we can accept just this one idea into our minds with firmness of purpose, our perceptions will begin to change. The world as we see it will begin to change also, allowing our pent-up anger, hate and fear to pass from it. And then we’ll be set free; eager to take our place amoung those who live in a loving world.

No matter how you perceive yourself in this physical dimension, your perception can not change what God created. The Course says that He created you as a glorious and complete idea – therefore that’s what you are.

But, until you can see yourself as  more than the body, you will not recognize this truth about yourself. As The Course also says, “No one can serve contradicting goals and serve them well.”   

Now the question is; how can a glorious and complete idea be limited or restricted in any way? The truth is, it can’t. But, and it seems there’s always a “but” while we’re dealing with two different dimensions. And that’s what everyone who wants to learn has to deal with until they can decide on one dimension or the other. Therefore the “but” here is; as long as we perceive ourselves as bodies, we’ll believe we are limited and restricted.

As The Course tells us: “You see the flesh or recognize the Spirit.” Until we can make a clear decision on this we’re going to be confused. How could it be otherwise if we hold onto the physical while we’re trying to recognize the spiritual?

Everything in this world is a decision. In order to do something, you must choose to do it. If you believe something, it’s your choice. If you say something, it’s a choice. And it’s the same if you don’t believe something, or if you do nothing and say nothing – it’s always a choice – there are no exceptions to this.

The thing is, if you see only the flesh then your choices will be made without the option of being able to ask for help from the spiritual realms. When choices are made from this standpoint alone, they are made from physical weakness. But if you recognize the spirit, then you have the option to ask for help from the spiritual realms. If you ask for this help before you choose, then your choices are made through the strength of Christ in you. 

I’m going to close this post with a quote by the great spiritual teacher and author, Neale Donald Walsch; he said: “You are always connected to Source. Wherever you are, wherever you go, you are always connected to Divine Wisdom, Divine Intelligence, and Divine Love.”
